Why going a women only retreat can be soul enriching.
So you haven’t had a break for ages. The kids are driving you mad, and the household is crazy busy. You have had work commitments, and constantly have a feeling of being “on” all the time. You’re craving to get out and try something new but your partner is...
Are you nervous to travel alone?
Going on your first solo travel adventure and traveling alone can be nerve wracking. You know what? That is totally normal, even those of us who are experienced travelers were nervous at some point at the start of our adventures too, and I still get those...
Travel and my mental health
Here's a question for you. Hands up. Who else has highlighted their lives where they have gone traveling to deal with emotional or stressful situations in life? Both hands up for me! I am realizing, especially as we are zooming through 2021, and another...
Is this the end of the big overseas experience?
Is this the end of the big overseas experience as a rite of passage? No matter your age? These are two big questions I’ve been thinking about lately as we enter 2021 with the same uncertainty around international travel that we left behind in 2020. This...
What would you tell your younger self?
What would I tell my younger self? I have been asking myself this question lately. I think the events of this year so far have had me really reassessing things and especially as the big 50 approaches next year. OMG I can barely believe I’m nearly 50! I remember...
Travel and health: your immune system.
Travel and health: your immune system. With the current world-wide Covid-19 situation not much is being talked about how you can naturally help protect yourself. This will not stop you getting sick, but will definitely help in a faster recovery and also benefit your...

The most stunning departures I have had from Bali~Indonesia! This sunset was incredible with a view of all the Mountains and Uluwatu.
It was also our pilot`s last flight after over 30+ years of service, what a way to go out. Thank you for a great flight ✈️
Parting is such sweet sorrow.

The reality vs your expectations!
Try to travel with no expectations, this is a great way to just “roll with it” and avoid disappointment, as quite often the images we see of travel don’t always show the full story. 🤪

Like ancient history and visiting Sanur, Bali?
This is off the beaten track but easy to find.
“The pillar was established by King Sri Kesari Warmadewa, the first king of the Balinese Warmadewa dynasty, and bears a long inscription where the king describes his military campaign on the island. It is located in the Belanjong (Blanjong) Temple, where it is housed under a protective enclosure and is often decorated and partially covered with devotional cloth.
The pillar was only discovered in 1932,[2] and has remained where it was initially found.”

𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝑶𝑳𝑶 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆!
This has been a conversation I’ve been having a lot lately.
What does “solo” traveller mean?
👉🏼Is it because you’re single?
👉🏼Is it because you spend the whole time of your trip alone?
The way I view it, the moment you take that first step on a journey, whether you will spend your trip solo, meet up with a tour group, friends, or a mix of both, it’s YOUR solo journey.
Whether you’re married, have a partner or are single, if you take that trip alone, again it’s your SOLO journey.
SOLO TRAVEL-is your own experience on how you want to travel, don’t feel you need to travel a certain way to have a valid solo travel experience!
If you want to mix it up with the time you spend alone or time spent with a new group of other travellers, (like free walking tours, day tours, meet-ups or small group tours) that’s totally up to you!
Some of my best friends I have meet on my solo travels!
Your JOURNEY, your way.
