𝗚𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡
I’m not one for doing things normally, easily or following the expected path.

🟡 I didn’t have kids when all my friends were, despite the pressure, and never did have children.
🟢 I bought my first house at 25 when all my friends were doing their OE’s.
🟠 I went and did my big OE/Backpacking when I was 40.
⚪️ I started and then accomplished a TRAVEL & TOURISM cert when our first 🔒down happened here in NZ-crazy aye!
🟠 I started my local mini escape weekend retreats during the pandemic and now have run 23 Retreats here in NZ.
🟢 I’ve never married or have even been engaged, yet I have gone through x2 separations where I have had to pay out my ex-partners.
⚪️ I first met my current forever partner later in life overseas in Thailand-we did a long-distance relationship for 15 months.
🟡 I completed an ICF Travel Coach Certification, when no one even knew what a travel coach was (only certified one in NZ currently)
🟠 I realised at 54, I probably have some “neurodivergence” tendencies (don’t we all) and anxiety wrapped up in menopause-joy! 🤪

The beauty is going against the grain, being different, and celebrating diversity is what makes up our crazy world.
My mum used to say “Wouldn’t it be boring if we were all the same”.

Vacation vs. Intentional Travel 🤔

Why Intention Matters-When you travel with intention, every step has a purpose.
It helps you:
👉🏾Anchor your experience, instead of drifting through it
👉🏾Be present, truly soaking up moments instead of chasing the next one
👉🏾Create deeper meaning, turning travel into transformation
👉🏾Return home recharged and realigned, not just relaxed
👉🏾Find clarity, often what you discover on the road is actually what you’ve been searching for within

How to Set Your Intentions Before You Travel
🌼Ask yourself “Why now?”
🌼What’s calling you to travel, escape, healing, adventure, reconnection? Start there.
🌼Write it down.
🌼Set one or two simple intentions. (Example: “I want to reconnect with my joy” or “I want to practice slowing down.”)
🌼Visualize your journey.
🌼Imagine how you want to feel while you’re away , calm, confident, curious, free.
🌼Keep it with you.
🌼Carry your intention in a journal, note, or even your phone wallpaper as a gentle reminder each day.

Why is this photo important?
Because it embraces connections and lessons I learned about myself, and traveling later in life.🧡🫶🏼

When you open yourself to new opportunities, experiences, and step out of your comfort zone, amazing things can happen!

•I have met people that I normally wouldn’t interact with
•I have made amazing new friendships
•I have seen how other people live when visiting countries, not just the “tourist” version of life
•I have different views and empathy from my travels
•I want to really experience the people, the culture and give back when I travel, to leave a positive impact. 🌼

The new connections I have made and the perspectives I’ve experienced have forever impacted my life.

Now, it’s that perspective I want to share with my clients through my Travel Coaching.

I bought that one-way ticket to Paris….
14 years ago so I bought a one-way ticket to Paris, France. 🛫

This was a catalyst for change for me. 💫
It was my first time backpacking solo, I had no return ticket, and I was leaving my home, family and pets behind with no return date.

𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟰𝟬!
I was feeling lost, with my self-esteem at a low point.
I needed a change- a 𝗕𝗜𝗚 change and for me, travelling and pushing myself out of my comfort zone was how I would do it!
That first week in Paris I met a bunch of other backpackers at my hostel, celebrated my 40th under the Eiffel Tower, went to Moulin Rouge with a friend from back in NZ and started out on a life-changing and transformative adventure.

Over the next 8 months, I did and experienced things I never thought I’d do. Travel had a profound effect on my life..this is how my dream to share this feeling and transformation that can happen with you started.

I had fears, apprehensions, anxieties, but also excitement, wonder and exhilaration.

Remember it’s never too late to reinvent yourself!
